Through sequenced, individually focused, dynamic, and engaging Personal Education Plans (PEP) we encourage students to develop a life long love of learning and develop the academic and interpersonal skills needed to meet their future challenges with confidence and success.
Through experimentation and exploration we will show students the complexity and wonder of the world they live in, developing a love of inquisition and reason.
We will foster a strong sense of family, community, and global awareness as well as self-esteem and self worth.
We will not neglect the value of faith and hope and the importance of incorporating them into our daily lives.
Our ultimate goal is to prepare our students for a balanced life full of opportunities and unafraid to challenge themselves and the world around them, unafraid to always do their best and confident that they have value and worth as individuals and as a members of our local and global communities.
We are committed to giving our students the widest possible breadth of experiences.  Our programs encourage ‘hands on’ learning whenever possible to reinforce the academic content of our program.  We believe in the words of the Philosopher  John Dewey, ~
“The self is not something ready-made, but something in continuous formation through choice of action.”
By combining this philosophy with our enriched Core Knowledge curriculum we truly give our students the best possible education. Exceptional sequenced content, daily hands on interaction with the world around them to apply the knowledge they are acquiring, and a sound social foundation that stresses respect and responsibility for one’s self and the global community within which we live our daily lives!

Mission Statement
Pet Mentors
Our understanding of ‘community’ reaches beyond our doorstep and includes representatives from the world around us.
Students learn about animals and their needs through out ‘Pet Mentoring Program.   Our school mascot ‘Tip’ our Beagle is one of our ‘Pet Mentors’ and a valued member of our learning community.
Each classroom has Pet Mentors carefully chosen to give students first hand experience in working with and caring for animals.
Our current Pet Mentors include animals from diverse ecosystems, like miniature African Hedge Hogs, each carefully chosen to stimulate our students minds and hearts and foster a love for the animals and plants that share our world.
